چکیده
Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) skin collagen hydrolysates (TSCHs) were obtained using Alcalase, Trypsin, and Protamex. Our results indicated that enzyme type, degree of hydrolysis, molecular weight distribution significantly affected the zinc-binding capacity TSCHs. Five peptides isolated purified via immobilized metal affinity chromatography reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography. Their amino acid sequences LGPY, GFLGSP, FHGLR, LGYPGPKGSP, LRGLPGSVGEQ. Of these, peptide GFLGSP exhibited highest capacity. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy demonstrated sites located at nitrogen atom group oxygen carboxyl GFLGSP. Scanning electron microscopy revealed surface morphology was changed after adding zinc. Furthermore, had strong stability during simulated gastrointestinal digestion. Caco-2 cell monolayer experiments can be transported paracellular pathway tight junctions transport pathway.

Marine Collagen Peptides from the Skin of Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus): Characterization and Wound Healing Evaluation
Burns can cause tremendous economic problems associated with irreparable harm to patients and their families. To characterize marine collagen peptides (MCPs) from the skin of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), molecular weight distribution and amino acid composition of MCPs were determined, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) was used to analyze the chemical structure. Meanwhi...
متن کاملTol2-mediated transgenesis in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).
The Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is an important species in aquaculture and an excellent model system for laboratory studies. Functional genetic analysis using this species has been difficult because existing methods for producing transgenics are inefficient. Here we show that the Tol2 transposon system can be used to create transgenic tilapia with high efficiency. We constructed a line...
متن کاملTransport of hop aroma compounds across Caco-2 monolayers.
Although being reported and used as a sedative remedy for several years, the bioactive principle of hop preparations is still not decisively clarified. Understanding absorption and transformation processes of potential physiologically active constituents is essential to evaluate the likeliness of biological effects on humans. Therefore, single hop aroma compounds as well as digestive transforma...
متن کاملMetacercarial Infection of Wild Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) from Brazil
Fingerlings of Oreochromis niloticus collected in an artificial urban lake from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, were evaluated for natural infection with trematodes. Morphological taxonomic identification of four fluke species was performed in O. niloticus examined, and the total prevalence of metacercariae was 60.7% (37/61). Centrocestus formosanus, a heterophyid found in the gills, was ...

Lethal effects of zinc sulphate (ZnSO4.H2O), a widespread environmental pollutant was evaluated following exposure at different concentrations of the toxicant to Tilapia species, Oreochromis niloticus based on toxicity index of 96 hrs LC50 values. The obtained results were analyzed by the Finney’s Probit Analysis LC50 Method and 96 hrs LC50 value for Oreochromis niloticus was found to be 72.431...
